As a family of 12 we had the best time. From the moment we walked into the reception area till when we stepped off the train .

Great day out, staff were lovely and so helpful. Food was amazing ! We've never had a brownie so good!!

Enjoyed the train journey. The country side. The village of Amamour is small, but enjoyed the coffee and cake we had from the Cafe. And the ambience sm towns give.

Fantastic to be able to experience this historic moment. Special day as it was my 60th birthday also. Service wa great and our attending staff member "Angel" was fantastic. We upgraded to have the lunch experience and the meal was great. Was disappointing that the booking was done through an American owned and run company and not from the Australian web site we tried to book on for the non-for profit Mary Valley Rattler.

Perfect experience for a family day out, wonderful scenery views and friendly staff always going above and beyond throughout the trip giving great tips and advice on what to look out for along the train ride experience 😀 definitely recommended

We loved every minute of this wonderful 'must do' experience! The staff are so passionate and it was a lot of fun! We LOVED stopping in Amamoor and particularly Dagun with the games, wine tasting, live music and market stalls! Thank you for letting us bring our fur baby and we had our own private pet carriage! We will definitely be back when our family is next visiting!

We loved the whole experience and Marilyn was the best host with knowledge, comedy and a good chat. FYI the cheese is amazing 🤤

The trip which I did with three other adults was good but all of us found the guides were rude, condescending and officious. I appreciate they are volunteers but this doesn't excuse downright rudeness. There are several examples. Eg some time before the train was to depart I thought I would get off to go tho the toilet. The closest open door was in the next carriage and there were a few people filling lithe aisles in my carriage. The guide in the next carriage refused to let me use 'his' door - said I would have to wait until I could exit from my carriages door. Several other examples. When I was getting on the train at the other end a guide said to me 'oh your are the bloke that wanders around the moving train to go to the toilet'. I said politely 'I think you are confusing me with someone else'' - I didn't leave my seat at all when the train was moving. He turned to the other guide and said in a loud voice, 'they all look the same to me'. As I say there are several other examples of unpleasantness which spoiled the trip for my party. These guides need some politeness training ,I'm afraid

Lovely vintage train memories of my childhood travelling country lines to see grandparents. Easy booking system online and purchase if extra tickets at the train station. Dedicated volunteer staff knowledgeable about the history of the train with excellent customer skills interacting with customers, the village at Amamoor provided a gorgeous stopover.

Booking tickets online was easy as. Felt like a kid again on the steam train with the smell and the choo choo whistle 🤣. Very informative from the newby commentator, he did a great job and was funny with it. Overall it was a great experience 👍

We actually didn't make it as my son as unwell. I was told we would get a voucher to use to book again but didn't receive it . However I am not unhappy because I know thay if cancel less than 24 hours before the time you lose your money so I expected that . It was just such a pity my son got sick that day

Super easy ticketing process, we got to Gympie a bit earlier, so we had time to have morning tea at the cafe at the station the train ride was great, very informative commentary along the way, staff were amazing and looked after us well.a fantastic and enjoyable day out.

Taking in the sights you wouldn't see normally the beautiful houses up the river. Crew were just great

Easy booking system and receipt of tickets. Clear ticketing enabled quick entry to the attraction. Sea Life itself was not as big as I expected. We went through all of it in an hour. Good for children and the elderly or those not familiar with ocean creatures.
